Happy New Year

Hapy New Year friends and family. Let me start by telling you all how much we love you and we're thakful for each one of you in our lives. We wish you all the best of everything for a safe and successful 2009. Ok, so Josh brough it to my attention (like I didn't know already) that I'm kind of a blogging slacker. I did some power blogging tonight and put up a whole slew of posts below. They pretty much sum up what we've been up to since my last post on Scott's birthday.... which has pretty much been vacation and holiday busy madness. We had a fantastic little break in the mix with Thanksgiving and a visit from Josh, Bethany, and sweet Maddie. It was so much fun to see them and love and kiss Maddie as much as possible. We miss you guys! Like a total loser I didn't take pics that I can post on here. I have great video of Maddie trying to crawl but I have issues with how LONG it takes to post a video on blogger. Holy cow! No amount of patience on earth is enough for me to post videos on blogger. Sorry! This last long weeked was well spent, mostly painting our family room. Mom and dad were kind enough to keep kidlets for two night and we painted the night away. What party animals we are! Scott is the best husband ever. He worked so hard and was patient with my every whim and fancy. We love the way it turned out and are wondering why we didn't do it sooner. Sure it was a lot of work but so worth every second. New paint and a new year. We feel ready to take on 2009.
Scott getting started. What a sweet husband!
One "After" pic of the north wall. Apparently I wasn't smart enought to take a before pic of this wall.
BEFORE or during. I was so scared the color was a little intense at first. It definitely has to grow on you.
After.
The pictures just don't do it justice. The color is so much better in the natural light. It is called Mojave Sunset. Scott says it reminds him of Moab. I describe it as Terra Cota.
Before.
After.
Bethany if you are reading this I just haven't put new pictures in the frames yet but it is absolutely my first order of business. Thank you so much for the beautiful pictures. We love them!
Happy New Year!

Blessed

We wrapped up 2008 by feeling encredibly blessed. We have two healthy happy kids and were able to celebrate a wonderful Christmas season with our families. We are very happy and strive to never forget our blessings knowing there are others who are not as fortunate. I was able to get a quick picture of the tree after Santa came but before the savage paper ripping began. Brynlee with her new prize posession, her Nintendo DS. She has trained a Chiuaua named Kia with a little help from Baby Grandpa.
Beckham loves his new train table and plays with it constantly. This is a huge relief to us and makes it all worth while that it takes up TONS of valuable real estate in the house.
Pressent ripping fun. Brynlee's out of luck this year, Beckham knows how to open them all on his own now. It drove her nuts that it took him so long to open all his presents.
They were both pretty tuckered out after playing with all their new stuff. Time for a little movie relaxation from all that playing!

A Haunting Good Halloween Time

Brynlee and Courtney were super cute little vampires. They didn't even coordinate their costumes it just happened that way. They were surprised to see each other's costumes and had tons of fun together. Thanks for coming out Courtney! And Beckham was.....well, Beckham. He was supposed to be a dragon but we couldn't get him to cooperate so he was a two year old in a Halloween T-shirt. Now that's SCARY! Doesn't make for a great picture but we'll keep him anyway.
Witch's brew anyone!
Or maybe you prefer jell-o organs?
Or how about a bloody eyeball?

Disneyland in October

Shortly after Scott's birthday we packed up and went to California for a little Disney vacation with G-Pa Roger and the Wade family. It was tons of fun. Below are three of my favorite pics of the very few pictures I took while there. I would include great footage of Scott and Kathi holding hands while surfing but honestly, I don't have the patience to wait THREE MONTHS for the video to upload. If any of you want to see it let me know and I'll e-mail it to you. C is for Courtney...and that's good enough for me! Courtney was a sport and managed to control herself from riding the big stuff at California adventure (ha ha) and posed for this cute picture. Way to be tough and tackle those big rides Court. You are definitely worthy of a giant C in your honor.
Is this a vacation or an American Eagle ad? I don't think Colby and Jeffrey know the difference. They just can't control their awesomeness.

Surf Pros, Scott and Kathi

Finally the long awaited California surfing video. The instructor told Scott and Kathi that she has never had beginners pick it up so fast. Obviously they don't look like pro's or anything but I think that speaks volumes for how tough it is. They had a large cheering section on the beach. You guys rock! Oh yeah and the brother and sister hand holding thing is just too cute for words. Awwww!
